The Laurier Economics Club (LEC) is Wilfrid Laurier University’s only economics focused club on campus. Our mission is to provide resources to students with an interested in the field of economics. Through our speaker engagements, mock midterm sessions and our annual conference, we expose our members to a diverse range of economic knowledge and experience. We strive to enhance each member’s academic journey while providing them with tools to help them realize their full potential and value in a degree or minor in economics.
WHAT WE DO
We are dedicated to network individuals within the Economics Department to help further their career and studies. We bring in Economists to share expertise for discussion on real-world and current topics beyond what your courses offer.
LEC helps students achieve their utmost ability through skill building activities and workshops. For everyone taking economic courses such as Introduction and Intermediate Microeconomics and Macronomics (EC120, EC140, EC270, and EC290), we offer mock midterms through the semester to help reinforce concepts and increase understanding.
